Music Mondays: Michael Jackson, Thriller

You may have noticed that I didn't post anything last week, that's because I died...(well almost).  Luckily I came back to life just in time for October and the best holiday of the year, Halloween.  Every Music Monday this month we'll be jammin to fucking sweet Halloween themed tunes.

Here's the song and video that evokes the Halloween spirit more than any other.  Michael Jackson's Thriller!    A 14 minute micro movie directed by John Landis who has also directed: Coming To America, Animal House, Three Amigos and The Blues Brothers.  (If you look close you can see John sitting in the movie theatre). The video that is now thought to be the best of all time orginally created concern because of its length.  In 2009, the video was inducted into the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress, the first music video to ever receive this honor, for being “culturally, historically or aesthetically” significant.  Damn this is classic MJ.  No ripping on MJ in this post, although I'm pretty tempted.  Here are a few Thriller facts that you might find tantalizing.
